Across Flock Report Manager information
SIL Across Flock Report Manager - Appointment Criteria plus Responsibilities & Duties
Flock groups that wish to conduct across flock genetic evaluations are required by SIL to appoint an Across Flock Report Manager (AFRM) to do this, when flocks in the group are clients of two or more SIL Bureaus. Where flocks in a group are all clients of one SIL bureau, SIL strongly recommends that an AFRM be appointed also.
AFRM are appointed from within SIL Bureaus unless their are exceptional circumstances. It is up to the flock group to appoint an AFRM using the criteria set out by SIL in a document on this website. The group can change their appointment of AFRM if they wish. SIL will work with the AFRM and one nominated representative of the flock group. Other members should direct their enquiries related to across flock evaluations and any across flock reports to the AFRM or their breed group representative.
AFRM are given read only access to flock data for participating flocks that are clients of bureaus other than the bureau from which the AFRM was appointed. The duties and responsbilities of the AFRM, as set out by SIL, are described in a document on this website. A flock group may add to these to suit the needs of their group members.
